Hey, sorry for thread but the rep system explanation thread is locked.

I've noticed that when I rep people, sometimes they get 2 rep points from me, sometimes they only get 1. And by rep points I mean the rep number that is above the green bars.

After some observing, the system doesn't seem to discriminate from people I rep that have a high rep value or low rep value. It seems completely random.

Anybody else notice this???

Michael.

You give (YourRep/100) which means you give 1.78 rep at the moment.

If a person already has .34 rep you'll bring them up two points. If they have 0 rep you'll give them only one point.

thank you very much...

Can this be merged into the real rep thread. Please close.

Michael.

Don´t know but think you get 1 rep-power for about 90 rep-points.

So considering how many rep-points / rep power you have and you +rep someone, it always increases this persons (independently from his rep-points / power) rep-points by the same amount.
When this person nearly is before the amount of rep-points he needs for the next rep-power figure, you might add two rep-power. Guys with even more rep-power can spread more rep-points and so might add 3-4 rep-power numbers to the user they´re +rep´ing.

Never read anything about how the rep system works, that´s just my understanding of it and I might be wrong :)

Edit: Too slow. Thanks ARG for the great KISS explanation
