Hey guys (and a couple of gals maybe ;))

I just registered at this forum, I checked a couple of laser forums, and this definitely is the best. I'm still kind of a laser-noob, having ordered my first (apart from a 1mw red pointer) laser just a couple of days ago, a DX30 btw.

I'm a 21year-old student from The Netherlands (first Dutchy on this forum?)

you should be very happy with your DX30 (true i assume, right?) i've personally inspected 3 (will be four soon) and output powers have ranged from 30 up to one unit that peaked in the 50's :eek:

@ MarioMaster: yup, the True dx30, I think it's a nice one to start with

@D3StRoY: Oke, cool :cool:

btw, did you ever encounter any problems with the Dutch customs when importing a laser?

I never ever imported a laser before, just had those ones locally :)

For reds, just buy some diodes.. thats no problem at all.. (same for bluray) for the rest, no experience here.

Mmm, OK

I didn't know they sell 100mw green lasers in actual stores in The Netherlands, but on the other hand, I've never really looked for them either.

If my first shipment of DX products (I bought a bit more than only a True DX30) arrives without any problems I'll try to buy some red modules from them. Just to experiment a bit, I've never built up a laser so I might as well start with something cheap before I turn my interest to Blu-ray diodes  ;)

Sorry to hear of the "price range" blues! Yellow lasers have been high all along! I wonder if you or your pals want, or need a Green CNI (<5 mW very low cost!) or a Galileo (with Galileo reasonable cost and constant on switch and great beam spec's (not mention easy to mod). as these are pretty useful and affordable! Spread the word! Best Wishes! -Glenn
