That's what people who think they are pointing at UFO's do, if they know the law and don't want to risk beaming directly onto an aircraft, they circle around it but I wouldn't even do that because they might interpret you are trying to point at them. Sometimes it isn't breaking the law which gets you into trouble, but what someone thinks you are trying to do.
