Just got my laser from LaserFanatics, the "Classic Violet" pointer. FYI, it looks nothing like the picture on the website. It's a typical eBay style pen.

Anyway, it was sold as 5-10mW's and I got 51mW's lol. I'll send it to whoever would like it, just like my other 635. Just pay shipping :yh:

Hap, i'm a bit confused. You just got this unit on top of the Carolina laser and don't want it because it's 51mw instead of the safe 5mw that you like?

Well, originally, I tried to cancel my order with LaserFanatics since I never got an eMail saying it was being shipped, and I had bought another 405 in the mean time, the Carolina unit. No, it's not only that's it's 51mW's, it's also quality wise. I don't really like those kind of mass-produced "Laser Pointer" pens. I have a 515 in that host, but keep it since it's one of a kind. Not many eBay style pointers that emit 515 instead of 532 ;)

Yes nice gesture.
Shipping may be the problem in giving one away, $10.51 shipping.

There are dozens of sellers on ebay selling 5mW 405nm pens at a cost of approximately $1.50 -$2.00 and max seems to be $5 these days new on ebay including shipping. So you could buy 5 of them for $10.51.

Maybe a lower cost shipping method---bubble lined envelope w. standard 1st class postage US postage is less but still expensive, relatively. Shipping from China is a big advantage with very low cost postage.

Keep it... or dismantle it with pics and info. That way many people can enjoy it


Edit... I found on on ebay for 1.50$ shipped..

^Yeah, no offense but you can get these cheaper from ebay shipping included. I would just keep it.
No shame in keeping lasers you don't use. I probably have over a dozen cheap old DX/Kaildomain/Ebay lasers which I never use anymore. I just keep them in a box because it's not really worth the effort to sell them.

Agree --use it and enjoy it or return it for a refund if you don't want it- LF charged a lot for the pens which as you said was misrepresented and nothing like the one pictured on their web site.

LaserFanatics claims:
"Customers who wish to return an item must first secure a return authorization number from our customer service. We shall then reply via email to confirm the address to which the product can be returned. We will refuse all returned items without a valid authorization number. All items for return must be packed securely in their original box.

Customer satisfaction is Guaranteed with Laser Fanatics.

Return Restrictions:
• Defective Product Returns. Customer may return most defective Products to us within Seven (7) days of receiving, at the Customer’s option, replacement, exchange, repair, or a full refund, including Customer’s returning delivery charge with proof of the amount. After Seven (7) days, only the warranty applies.

• Non-Defective Product Returns. Customer may normally return non-defective products to us for any reason within fifteen (15) days of receiving for a full refund, minus the shipping costs.
