Analog driver for 405nm diode

i do believe i am going and if all goes as planned i will hopefully have 400mw of 405nm and my green mixed :)

but as of now for sure to have at least 185mw of 405

Wow... how are you getting 400mW of 405nm or did you mean 400mW combined with the Green??? :-?

What diodes are you going to use though :-? you would need 3 x PHR's or atleast 2 6Xs

well we will see how it all goes. my project will consist of TEC cooling and a nice heat sink that has been modded to fit my peltier plate and heatsink also has a fan to get that heat away.
im shooting for 803t diodes but after optics i may get it down to 350mw but i did order 2 473nm pbs cubes in case if feel like adding a third 803t into the picture.

thanks i should be powering it up for the first time tonight once i get home. need to do a few more adjustments and see how it works

you know that you can't combine more than two lasers using PBS cubes right? if you added another it would just break up the combined beam into the two you started with

oh you are right huh! because you need opposite polarization...

thanks for the reminder!

nice what software are u using to do the raster scanning with?

just a bit of advice.. i found 405nm psb cubes in the uk, and i use a flexmod2 driver. i set the current at 250ma and used a radioshack pot 1k for each diode, using a dummyload i set the pot at 75 ma for each diode ran in parallel so far things are working great! i will post my project soon.

sorry I missed this one, I use a Pangolin QM2000. That is one of the many free shows included with the software/hardware package.

I used the flexmod with an 803t diode and it randomly died.... current was set at 110mA. For my latest lasershow build I used Norm's analog driver and it has worked great so far.

I've lost a couple PHRs at 110 mA.. they are well known for being inconsistent. You could have just been unlucky.

I've gone through quite a number of the phr diodes. I kinda gave up on them though. The last one of mine that died was only running at about 80mA. They just don't seem to hold up well when modulated.
