Stupid question.......will a telescope do anything to a laser beam if shot threw it

It will change the focus of the laser and you will loose some power

so it would probably spared it out allot huh?........... what if u did it back wards?

don't experiment with telescopes and with lasers.. eventually your curiosity will grow up and up and up..
bad idea.

if you point your laser at 'where you puts your eye', the laser will defocus.. if you point backwards it will get a perfect focus where you puts your eye.. hence bad idea. (if your eye is not there, all you get is a focal point there)

AFAIK telescopes work the same way as beam expanders. So you will get a huge beam and ultra-low divergence.
