eBay My World - american_lasers

He sells a lot of diodes and modules etc but the style of the auctions just seems shady to me. Has anyone bought anything from this seller? The fact that he labels some things "kipkay suitable" scares me too!

I guess if I get screwed I could go tell him what for, its only a 30 minute drive from here :D
 





Having "american" in the name is probably just a sales-technique. He probably sells just the same diodes are everyone else, buy from a trusted source like modwerx.com instead.
 
Well the guy says he's located in Manhattan, Kansas. Is it possible he is dropshipping these I wonder. The shipping is pretty high too.

Four neutral and four negative feedback in a single month does not bode well for his business acumen. The whole USA thing is purely marketing. If any one of you purchased a laser from China, Japan, or where ever, sold it, and packaged it for shipping at your house somewhere in the states you can claim the same thing.
 
^^that one and the 300mW red diode caught my eye, but they look harvested to me because of the cable still soldered onto the leads. How would it be possible to harvest these and sell them that cheap.

Since nobody has anything good to say I think I'll get them somewhere else. modwerx looks good!
 
it doesnt seem like that good of a deal. The 150mW is $7.00 plus $10.00 shipping which is $17.00. correct me if im wrong but isnt that about the power of the PHR that you can get here http://hightechdealz.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1 for $19.83 with an aixiz module shipped? He will also throw in a glow in the dark lense cover and a sticker :) I also think this is a more trusted seller.

American_Lasers is a fraud, just wasted $20, 8 days passed, 6 emails and nothing...
 
Really? you guys think hes fraud? Whoops I bought one of his phr diodes and yea I was thinking we was fraud too after waiting 1 month for it to come to CA; still hasn't come... What do you think I should do? I've pmed him a lot and he SEEMS like a legit guy but he said he has shipped it Dec. 12 not its been 1 month +
 
I bought 532-405nm goggles from him, thay work well. But, before I bought his "250mW" red laser diode which died in a week at 295ma, when recogmended was 300ma. I think its 150mW CW and 250mW pulsed
