you all know these drivers... now question on this:
DealExtreme: $16.58 AMC7135 1050mA Regulated Circuit Board for DIY Flashlights 10-Pack
these drivers for leds are made of the AMC IC's. there are several types of boards for different currents (350, 700, 1050, 1400mA). I guess, the 350mA version has one IC, 700mA has two IC's in paralell etc.
so I can buy the 10-pack of 1050mA version and I'll get 30 IC's... is that right?
thx for help

Basically, yes ..... but then you have also to unsolder them, if you need only the ICs .....

These little drivers are useful as is for positive ground IR builds that need a negative side driver. The chips can also be removed and used separately. Very small and fairly useful. I have made several IR`s and reds that use these.

bumping this old thread with a new question:
I'm building a LPC-815 laser and I want to use single AMC7135 chip to drive it. now, can I wire it like this:

or should I do it like this and electrically isolate the module from housing?

You have to use the second one and isolate, OUT is the pin where the transistor is regulating current.

I know these aren't boost drivers, but are they linear or buck?

I'm presuming linear since there's no coil?

Its an extremely simple linear negative side current sink ... it basically has an internal reference that turns on and off a FET to keep the current at 350mAs.

amc7135 are ultra-low dropout (>=120mV) linear regulators, with Vin 2-6V. they work well with LOC powered by single LiIon battery (that's what I'm trying to build)
thanks jib
