Amazing - 400W C02 Laser

Yea like a enclosure for the tube and PSU. I can just buy the PSU and tube then build my own enclosure out of something and have the tube surrounded in foam to prevent fractures.
Where would I get one though?

Keep in mind you'll also need a watercooling loop. you'll need to put aside at least $300 just for the laser tube and it's PSU. Look on eBay for cheap CO2 lasers and PSU's.

Also keep in mind they run at high voltage, so not only can they blind and burn you, but also electrocute and cook you too :p

So how do you prevent it from bliding you? Do certified goggles protect from 40w+?

Almost all plastic and glass blocks the 10.6um wavelength, plain polycarbonate safety goggles from a hardware store are sufficient for CO2 lasers. I believe Cyparagon tested a pair at 60W, and they lasted around 6 seconds before penetration.

Normal plexiglass is able to totally block the CO2 beam (10.6 micrometers) :)
but I use certified OEM laser system goggless (OD>7)...

Not all transparent things, and not all IR wavelengths. Just so happens that most plastics and glass block 10.6um very well.

16 seconds. Only 2 seconds if you're directly in the focal point, but that's not realistic. I did that way back in 2007 :D. I found the video and uploaded a copy.

The first shot is directly in the focal point. The second shot is the raw beam.

I am fully aware of everything, just happened to forget about cooling.
I see Coletech is a leading eBay seller and sells a 40W and 60W CO2 tube w/ PSU (dont know if they include the cooling).

Wont be getting a CO2 laser soon since I am purchasing my 2W 532nm Green labby and 3W 445nm handheld.

Also, here's a pic of the TEM01 mode my CO2 laser likes to run in:
