All LPF members invited to big party in Texas

Any LPF member in or around south central Texas ('bout halfway between Houston and the Gulf of Mexico(drop in anytime your are near the Gulf LOL) is invited to a HUGE three day party that will be going on at the Brazoria County Fair --one of the oldest and biggest in Texas. I am a proud member of an award winning Cook-Off team well-known as 'The PitMeisters' and for the tenth year in a row, we will be cooking up and giving away a whole lot of great BBQ, beverages and a lot more. 20+ kegs of beer and enough food to feed a small army will be put out in Angleton Texas starting at 7pm(til10pm) on Thur. Oct 15 and likewise FRi&Sat. Run a Google search on us- we have hundreds of photos at MySite.com and facebook. Pitmeisters.com should redirect you to it. Except Thur(free nite) you would have to pay 10$ to enter the fairgrounds but the cook-off is free once you are in. Anyone wanting to know more may feel free to PM me. If you attend and have any problems getting into our booth(a madhouse on Friday nite(1200ppl come and go that nite! -you'll need a PitM wristband) ask for Hack Thur and Sat nites are much slower and laidback.

I'm from Cali, but used to live in Grapevine, TX for a year. I've been wanting to go back just to eat some Texas steak/BBQ. The TexMex is horrible though, a "roach coach" from Cali would make millions over there . It took me 12hr drive to reach El Paso, then another 12hrs to reach Dallas...Texas is way huge!...But the food is so damn good!

Man, I need to take a trip down South sometime. I have made it a goal to have real Southern BBQ at least once in my life.

Look at the website photos- we take our smoked dead animals VERY SERIOUSLY. We are all card-carrying members of PETA--no not that one the other one! People Eating Tasty Animals-- - There will be over one hundred enteries in each category--briskit (we will do 30+) ribs(70+ slabs) chicken, fajitas, beans, feast (open category), judges choice and grand champion. We turn in the best and give away/eat the rest!!(we would sell it but that's forbidden) you CAN tip our beertender girls(again- look at the photos-better than the gals at Hooters!!)---hakzaw
