great Albatross has the greatest wingspan of any bird, up to 11.2 feet. albatross have a glide ratio of 22:1 or 23:1 (they fall 1 unit of distance for every 22 or 23 same units of distance that they move forward. imagine a wing suit with that ratio.), and can glide nearly 1000km per day without flapping, by using dynamic soaring and slope soaring. they can lock their wings in the extended position, using no muscle to keep them open, and their heart rate when soaring is basically the same as resting. it is assumed they can sleep in the air.
sadly, many species are near extinction

Random fact: Peanut butter will phosphoresce (glow) weakly for a couple of seconds after being illuminated with a 405nm laser. I have yet to have this explained to me but I've demonstrated it many times.
Is 405nm the only laser this will work with? Because that's badass. xD
