Well here
Diode-https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/445-m140-didoes or
https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/h1600-445-diodes
Cheap driver- GhostDrive2
Host, heat sink and thermal paste- Mohgasm!, Because it feels so good.
Other crap for assembly- Cajunlasers Store
This last one is optional if you buy a leads soldered on from dtr just sayin and also paralleling the ghost drivers will give you much more current like 2 792ma (1584ma) will give you around 1.5-1.6 watts from the h1600 or if it doesn't fry, the m-140 but I'd recommend staying around 1.4 amps PM me if you have any questions

I find it best to look over every section of this site. First I figured out what the difference in nm is. Then look at what diodes produce those nm. Then I looked at what powers the diode, etc.... Until I have looked at many threads, read many DIY's and tutorials. Then i repeated this for 2 weeks. Slowly you get to understand something, then that leads you to another question. I would make sure you have a good understanding of what makes everything work before building a laser.

For that host PM Ehgemus. I would suggest just trying a single driver build in it for around a 1W pointer. The dual build is very tight and certainly not a beginner build.

It seems as if I am choosing builds that aren't for beginners lol. Do you know any good beginner builds that are 1watt to 1.5 watt+?

The build is not hard if you are not trying to shove dual drivers in it. But if you want real simple get a C6 from Moh or you could look at Jayrob's hosts. Most come in a "hot kit" style that would have the driver preinstalled.

Here look through these links.;)
