I've had this as a work in progress for a while.
Tomorrow it gets sent off to a new home so this will be the last time I get to see it in action. :'(

Thanks to Flaminpyro for the awesome stainless steel focus ring!
Thanks to Lazeerer for the awesome X-drive V7 mini!
Thanks to DTR for sourcing the awesome 9mm monster!
Thanks to Jayrob for the awesome slick chrome host!

Beautiful.....classy looking pen!
That video must use just about all your duty cycle.

A +1 for an excellent build.

Thanks! Just about... Continuous use is limited to about 35 seconds but when operated in short "pulses" it can keep going for a good while. Anyway, with this much power it takes only a few moments to make your point. ;)

It wasn't my idea... I had my doubts about the feasibility of this project at first!
My LPM only reads up to 1050mW so I used a filter to reduce output to 32%.
Taking into account the attenuation I got an average peak of a little over 1600mW.
Assuming there is some error in that measurement I think it's safe to call it a 1500mW laser.
