Why don't you put the pictures up here instead of a link, when I clicked on the link it said I didn't have permission to see them, why not try Imageshack it works great for me and lots of other people and then you will be able to put your picture up and not just a link so you can get better results :)
 
Can't see the pictures like FP said. But it sounds like you took it out of a laptop or slim disk drive?
 
Pictures would help but it sounds like if you say three pins in a straight line it may be a flat package red. Not a real easy diode to work with.
 
yeah says needs permission... make them public so we can see them?
