Green Laser Pointers |80mw|5mw|100mw - Green Laser Pointer - Buy form Warnlaser.com

I accidentally clicked in one of the advertisers links on one of the LPF pages and was redirected to the above page. On first glance I thought it was $79 then noticed it was $19. I haven't done much pricing in the 80mw range lately but if this really does 80mw (without a bunch of background IR getting through) than it appears to be a decent deal. I've not bought from these guys before but for $20 I may just sign myself up for one to see if it is what they say it is. Just wanted to check here first to see if anyone actually tried this particular model 303. In the ad it states power may range from 80-150 which essentially tells me it's not stable. If that's the case then it is a unique and innovative way to take a lemon and sell it as lemonade, restate a negative as a positive. " Poor stability=we are selling up to 150mw for the price of 80mw...."

If nobody has bought one of these around here I may just have to risk a $20 and see if there's anything to this. This is provided shipping isn't $25 (or even $10 for that matter).

Thanks for your input,
Jmillerdoc

Looks identical to the 405nm Ebay Laser I bought. Tested at around 65mw.
I also tested a simple PEN style 405nm ebay laser... also around 60mw. So I would say as far as the 405's go the big fat locking laser is almost identical to the simple "pen" style 405's....

Now I also tested a simple 532 ebay PEN. it tested around 30-40mw. So If I had to venture a guess. I would guess that that also is around 30-40mw.

Although this is all speculative

They all have the same host, but the modules are prob different. You should buy one and review for all of us

^From their site!!!

And I quote:

"Use only laser pointers meeting the below criteria":
• Labeled with FDA certification stating "DANGER: Laser Radiation" for Class 3R lasers or "CAUTION: Laser Radiation" for Class 2 pointers
• Classified as Class 2 or 3R according to the label. Do not use Class 3b or 4 products
Operate at a wavelength between 630 nm and 680 nm
• Have a maximum output less than 5 mW, the lower the safer

Well, looks like we are going to have to get rid of all our 473nm/594nm/488nm/405nm/589nm/532nm/561nm/556nm/445nm/515nm lasers :(

I just saw the ad in the banner also. I want to order one. I also checked ebay and I couldnt find anything like it for the price. Does ebay even sell complete laser over 5mW?

I am also looking for a laser diy kit. I think it would be cool if someone offered all the parts that cold be assembled with some soldering and basic know how.

There are plenty of kits available around the forum. Not exactly sure what power you're looking for but RickTrent sells several kits which I believe don't even require soldering. I think Survival Laser is another. If you want a 532nm green around 50-150mw you can even make your own "kit" from eBay. In fact I think the guy I bought a few diodes from still has another one of these really cool waterproof laser hosts made especially for a green 532 module, on of the ones with the driver and spring attached. You basically just from the module in and screw it together and it makes a perfect sized little mini-flashlight style laser. I will try to find the thread, he sold everything listed but I believe he mentioned to me he had one more of the hosts left. I paid him around $10 for it and it was well worth it.

If this interests you let me know and I will try to figure out who sold it to me and see if he still has the other one left.

Wannaburnstuff- was it you who sold me this little host? I'm thinking it might have been. I bought x2 405 and x2 635 Mitsu's from you too if it was you. My brain is fried after a long day at work so don't give me too much grief if it wasn't. I am almost certain there was a second available. I like it so much I'm thinking if it's still available and this other guy doesn't want it I may just need it.
