Translation:Yes these do have the optics in them, But not the ps3 ones. This is the Xbox360 Hd-dvd optics.

Blow things up ? what are you possibly talking about ? the sled has the PHR-803T diode which will do 100mw safely. the optics are used to combine red/ir with the blu ray.

I meant burn things ;D why would I want explosions ::) ... and besides, my driver is set to 150mA.

Could I make use of the red one, for pointing purposes?

yes 150ma will give you a good 120mw-140mw~ range.
the red is pretty much useless so no.

with that sled u have the br diode and ir diode and some optics inside the sled, some people use for many diffrent things with other lasers ect.......and the red diode will be no good it might put out 4-5mw if that

Thanks Jake, just sent you $38 for e sleds, one put into aixiz module, with international shipment.
Could you please send the sled from which the LD gets extracted as well, because i'll need all the optics.

If I'm not too late, I would like 2, with the diode extracted, in the aixiz modules, for US shipping. So I guess the total price would be $42. Please include the sleds for spare parts. Thanks, Joe.
