I wish...I made the mistake of purchasing a large fog machine, and I don't want to set off the entire dorm's fire alarm on the off chance that it triggers it.

I can try making it more smokey, but my room is hot enough as it is, so perhaps tomorrow.

Just tape over the fire alarm vents :p I keep a hat over mine and it hasn't went off in 2 years... Mines on the wall...

You're lucky it hasn't been set off. Hats can kick up dust particles and throw them near the sensor. The alpha particles from the sensor with mistake them for smoke and set off the alarm. Not taking that chance.

I usually put my detector in a ziplock when I run fog (or even solder), else it goes off.

I pull my detectors, remove the battery, and ziplock bag them and yet they still go off. Its the weirdest thing.

I'll try to get some beamshots, probably no fog though. Tampering with a fig machine on a government facility doesn't bode well with me.
