Would be great if they did, I've never seen a driver laser hobbyists use which incorporates one. Maybe you can just solder it on yourself?

Yes, the Lasorb chip would be a great improvement for drivers. One limitation might be the recommended 10mm maximum distance from the laser diode as mentioned above. Many drivers are located further away from the laser diode than 10mm. Of course, they can make some drivers with the Lasorb chip onboard with the note that it should be located close to the diode for those who want the diode to last longer. The life of most diodes in laser pointers falls way short of the spec lifetime.
