6W laser build?

rhd, you did not get the point of the proverb. I meant that 'bread' is to be replaced by giving reputation to people. I am not asking for reputation points. Sorry if you think so. I you think I should delete the proverb to prevent misunderstandings, I will do so. Just PM me. Thank you for being kind.:thanks:

Yes... I understood that. You can do whatever you want, I'm just commenting on the fact that talking about +rep in your signature is a lot more likely to give people a negative impression of you than a positive one. Again, nobody here is too fond of the rep system, so you're better off just leaving that issue alone.

And I will delete the machine gun, rhd. Thanks for informing. still a noobie after all.:D

Okay.... one more freebie ;)

This one is fairly universal. People really dislike double-posting. Edit your posts rather than posting two or more in a row. In some very limited situations it may be appropriate to double post (for example, if a substantial amount of time has elapsed between posts).

Yo NRGLite,

I'm glad you're curious on how to build one of the 6w. :D

Check out my 6w build at. It's inspired, by JayRob.
This build is with a single diode rather than a diode array, allowing the beam to be narrow(er)
Building a laser is not so hard, but it is a bit expensive, so you cant mess up. If you ever would like to build a laser, try building a 1w first which is a bit cheaper.
Just make sure to always keep safe with eye protection if you do.

The reason why you couldn't find much about 6ws is because until recently, the Nubm44 diode had not been sold( which can yield over 6w). This makes it difficult to get a laser without forfeiting beam thickness. But now you can buy Nubm44 diodes from DTR. :)

It's nice of you trying to help the guy out by posting some info, but this thread died over a year ago. I'm pretty sure he's either found out how to do it, or gave it up. Please try to not post in old threads like these, but rather in newer threads that are still active.
