600mW+ 532nm labby, $487

But nobody asked him if he is a LPF member, right?

This is listed in his auction.

"THE FIRST TEST SHOWS THE LASER BEING TESTED IN OUR LAB USING A WELL KNOWN LASERBEE LASER POWER METER MADE IN CANADA WHICH A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE FAMILIAR WITH WHICH DISPLAYS MAX POWER REACHED AND CURRENT POWER IN REAL TIME."

Never noticed that in his other auctions, must have gotten a bunch of messages from people asking about the real power.

Hey its shows he is serious. He could be a member and we wouldn't even know it. He's more than likely on PL though.

No mention of an IR filter though...wonder how much of it is IR and how much is actually 532nm

It seems to be a fair distance from the meter, so its not that likely that much of that power is pump light. The 'optional ttl' modulation seems a bit sad though, something this powerful should have analog modulation to find a place in proper scanner :D

That's true, but you can always just replace the stock driver with a flexmod

Dont they all look alike.. the one on ebay seems to have a wider flange at the bottom, so i doubt the enclosure is identical... and even that wouldn't say much about what is inside ;)

As for swapping drivers: i'm fine doing that with cheaper modules (the 12mm kind), but with these things its a bit more difficult since you have the TEC to consider too. For best results you need the TEC to have a thermostat mehanism, or some other way to adapt its power to the amount of power going into the laser. With TTL you can switch the TEC with the laser to get the same average duty cycle, but that probably will not work for analog.
