5mw 30mw mod question (Hope this is right forum)

I've searched and searched but I been so confused so I had to get some help.

1. I want to mod my 5mw DX laser. I've seen videos but is there anything I need to know? Whats the highest mw I can mod it to? Can you give me a link to step by step instructions? I just got my soldering gun today so I guess im ready to start.

2. I wanna eventually mod my 30mw DX laser also. Do I do it the same way I do the 5mw? Whats the highest mw I can mod it to since its already a 30mw?

Some inctructions would be nice. Sorry I know stuff like this been posted before but Im just completely confused and needed to ask it my way so I can understand it.

You will most likely find that if you get your 5mw apart in the first place, and find that it has an adjustable pot, twiddling said pot will do exactly ..... Zilch.

The era of modable cheap greenies is long gone I am afraid...... Unless the design has changed since I stripped my last one down....

i'm pretty bummed cause i was about to buy a nice greenie from dx and then they stopped shipping 5+mw ones to the u.s. :'(
i'm hoping the 5mw one can be modded somehow too
