i am going to try to a green before i try a blue. (Thanks for the driver) i will use the driver to drive a cd burner and i have a 5mW crystal just lying around that i might use or if my dx30 gets here i will use that

No problem. I included resistors, with currents written next to each of them and for some of them in parallel...

A CD burner diode will not pump DPSS crystals. The crystals have a VERY narrow wavelength efficiency. If a 808nm diode drifts in wavelength from heat too much, the green output can be halved or worse. 780nm doesn't even come close to what's required.


I used those for practice, to learn what not to do. They are useless for much else.

That's the hard part. Good luck finding a LBO crystal to make a DIY blue laser.
