Laserwave unit. Fell on the carpet from about 0.5-1 meters of height. Lased for a second or 2 when I turned it on, after the event. Then it went very dim. It was doing something close to 400 mW and had a very good beam profile. Such a shame :( Paid like $300 for it a year ago. Was going into my projector but I have to abandon the rgb project for now, now that I have no green light source. Sent it to some guy to examine it, he came to the conclusion that the emitter went nuts from the shock. Pictures below. What can I do? I dont know shit about dpss systems.

The repair cost would be too high that it wont be worth it.. Although, I tried contacting laserwave but they didn't respond. What would be the best thing to do with it? Any help is appreciated

more pics of inside of head. See any broken glues?

Edit: I hate to ask, but why did you have a bunch of epic marbles on the floor?

Any more information? How much does the diode draw, how much power is it producing? (Pre-optics)

was there a woman to blame? (was she naked?)
or is this your own damn fault?

edit: thanks for all the GREAT pictures!

Actually, i was showing my laser to my female roomate :)
She hot too. It was actually me who dropped the laser, so you can't really blame her for it.

That's a weird Pump diode in that thing. If the diode is the issue Junktronix I believe has some.

Take ARG's advice. You can narrow it down to the driver or head right away by measuring the output current.
