532nm 50W Spectra-Physics -Need help fixing.

Atomicrox: Well, I don't know that much ether, That's one of the reasons why I posted this, so I can ask everyone here that actually knows something what I should do.:D
Wish I could help but I know nothing of this stuff :/

BTW: what's the "other" stuff?
I'm glad you asked, (and that you picked up on the hint.:yh:) I'll be posting the "other" stuff soon.

Bloompyle: Where's The Geek Group? Well I'll make it easy, Grand Rapids, MI
You can also look at their website.

BTW: How do you embed a YouTube video?

That guy should not even be removing the doubler or the HR mirror! the smallest spec of dust on the optics can ruin things when it is fired up!
and did you see how he slapped that one HeNe from one hand to another? :(
and similarly, did you take notice on how he threw that cord assembly from the 50W onto the floor? I heard it hit the ground, it must be cement, and now that connector has a dent in it probably!
I call it all Laser Abuse!
=shrugs!=

Well. Well, Sir. I can agree that removing the doubler is a bad idea. But, it's not the dusts that get you, it's the anger-inducing angle walk-in that's required to be 100% sure you get the Nd : YAG crystal's natural polarization matched up with KTP's polarization preferences. Doing it wrong, you will only get 10/100 of the output or worse the KTP explodes due to thermal effect of 120 Watts infrared laser light.

And, if the connector gets dinged, I personally would prefer to replace that ASAP - if the high voltage or high ampere connector gets busted, you can guess which will fail first.
