GH0521DE2G 135mw 520nm diode

10440 2x
LDSE500 buck boost driver 500ma set
220mw G-2 lens

i love single mode green laser

wow...!

I do not recommend a current above 500ma.
I recently lost another diode using an unstable Chinese boost driver.
Perhaps the reason is over 600ma setting.
NDG7475 1Amp feels like it.. before it died ..

What will win?

PLP520-B1 osram diode VS GH0521DE2G ???

I wanna know :giggle:

Nice job. I haven't used this diode as I have plenty of 520nm laser pens so I don't know it specs off the top of my head. If it were like the other Sharp diodes I have seen over the past year+, 500 mA would be high, but I know that it isn't. Thanks for sharing it here. I have been able to get 135 mW out of the other Sharp diodes using 275 mA. That is a little more than half what you used on this one.

I purchased from AliExpress. and It has a blurry rectangle around the point. like this.. ㅡ
Green point is perfect :giggle: . Single mode diodes are the best.

Yeah you can get rid of the rectangular artifact by using the acrylic lens that comes free with most module purchases. You will lose less power too over the 2 element 520nm AR coated lenses from DTR. These seem more pronounced with the Sharp diodes than with other manufacturers. But, many 520nm diodes have these artifacts to some extent.

i know. but Rectangular shape is not sharper than Sharp 495. And i like the sharp beam

Hi, I enjoy the SM 520's they have a greater divergence , heres one with a 3E lens the dot is awesome. As Paul stated an acrylic lens is also great to use on these SM diodes. here is a PL520b in a 1X10440 copper host I built , Nice work on your pen Miya.

PL520B ! nice. i like that. Which driver do you use and output current?

Hi Miya,
Cool stuff here, can we have information about the host itself please?
A place to buy it? Thanks.

PL520b / 240mA .... 300mA maximum

240ma ~ 300ma. safe current.
Someone of my friends are using the 430ma setting
that PL520B laser is 180mw output at the 430ma current. :ROFLMAO: . Danger !
Osram diode are the Great !
