I would be interested in one of those 18650 batteries that must at least output twice as much as the laser is outputting :)

Hm such a 10000 or 20000 MegaWatt battery would be probably better than Termiator´s energy pack he has thrown out of the cars window ;) I guess I could feed my whole house for about 200 years with only one charge. LoL

Okay, for the sake of argument I'll humor you and say this was 5000 megawatt hours. That would
be over 68kWh of power usage every day. That is enough to power 6 average American homes for a whole
year in 2011. You must have a very interesting life. Can I come live with you?

But how would you charge it in the first place :shhh:

To generate 1 MegaWatt of energy you would need 10,000 solar panels (current house sized panels put out about 150 watts each), or one of those massive wind turbines, or 1000 portable gasoline powered generators (those usually put out about 1.5 Kw each).

But even at 1 MW/h it would still take 416 days to charge a 10000 MW battery or 833 days to charge 20000 MW. Your best course of action would be your own wind farm, hydroelectric damn, or nuclear power plant.

I believe nitrogen lasers can reach several megawatts in peak power.

I believe that the FSM can expel several gigawatts worth of pure semolina energy. Granted, sometimes its transverse mode has too many Prego anomalies, it is still very usable, and can be used in CW (constant wave) mode or AWoG (Amber Waves of Grain) mode.
