They are both bad choices! Lazerer is a total no-no and lazerpoint sends chinese garbage. Try laserbtb.com - they are very trusted on this forum and have some quite cheap lasers that are GREAT quality.

Just look at LaserBTB. They are good but over my budget.
Is LAZERER really that bad? I saw many good reviews on youtube about their product. And I really love their power certificate idea. :D

I think I will give LAZERER a try. Will write a review when I receive the laser.
Thanks for your suggestion. :thanks:

Dude, don't trust youtube reviews, just take a look in LPF's section of those and you'll see how bad lazerer is.

P.S.: The power certificate is totally fake from what I heard.
EDIT: If you want a real power certificate, go for a lpm;)

Lazerer used to be an awesome site and I almost bought from them before but they have gone downhill by a lot. They won't even ship most of their lasers as they have completely let go of keeping their company up.

Yes, places like Laserbtb/Skylasers will be expensive compared to the typical Chinese companies but at least you will get a product that will last you a long time.
At least they actually ship their lasers

For $62, you will get a 50mW laser that should last.
HL 532nm 50-300

If you bought from Dragon Lasers (also a good company) you would be paying $110 for a good 50mw green laser that would last even longer.
Green Laser Pointers : Dragon Lasers

At LaserGlow, (the Rolls Royce of lasers) you would pay over $200 for a 50mW handheld laser that might even last longer than you.

I don't mean to scare anyone with all these huge prices for small(er) lasers, but lasers aren't supposed to be cheap.

The lasers that Lazerer sells are still decent, but many people have not even revived anything from them. And they don't really have a customer service at all.

The choice is yours, you might actually get something from Lazerer!
But please don't come to the forums and yell for help if anything bad happens when ordering from a cheap Chinese site.

Hope this helps :yh:

Please write a review on the laser when (or if) it gets here ;)

Is LAZERER really that bad?:

Why are you asking if you're just going to decline everyone's suggestions? Yes they are freaking horrible like laserpointerpro. There is a green one that is $29.52 and rated at 50mw at laserbtb. That leaves you with money to buy safety glasses.

Link to the laser: LP 515nm 532nm 1-150

Re: $50 to spend. LAZERER or Lazerpoint?

you can buy a good laser pen from laserbtb for under 50$ if you looking for a decent pen they have, i have one myself.

Re: $50 to spend. LAZERER or Lazerpoint?

I agree that laserbtb is the way to go with the budget you have. All of the reviews on the website say that the lasers are great quality, not to mention that the website is respected around these forums. I hope to buy a green laser from them, and a red laser from sflasers.us.

Re: $50 to spend. LAZERER or Lazerpoint?

You would be better off rolling the dice on an ebay 532nm. At least you would have a good chance of getting the laser. Plus, you may have enough money left to get a decent pair of safety glasses.

Frankly, if $50 is all you have, get some eagle pair safety glasses and save for a better laser.

As ChaosLord said, save for a laser but right now buy the goggles. You still may have money for a decent eBay laser.

Or a not-so-decent one, like a 301 laser - those are usually around 50mW, but they are extremely cheap, around $10-20 apiece.
