The LPM is working fine with the standard power plug.

Nospin thinks it is the LPM - battery pack connection cable. But I don´t know how to test it..

The Batteries may not be fully charged and when the LPM is
turned 'ON' the current draw may droop the batteries low
enough to not light the red LED on the Battery box.

Or you could have 1 cell that is causing problems...

You can open the battery case by removing the 4
feet. There are screws holding the case shut..
When you open the case you will find that they
used some hot glue and some double back foam
tape to hold the batteries.. You will need t6o break
the Foam Tape bond to open the cover completely.

With the case open and the LPF 'OFF' test the voltage
of the batteries. Then turn 'ON' the LPM and see if the
voltage is still the same within a Volt.

If not recharge the battery pack and do the test again..
If the battery voltage still drops... the battery pack may
need to be replace...

That is if there in no short in the LPM...

I was thinking about getting an LPM. I don't know if I would spend over 300$ on one though. Ill try to find one used I suppose.

There are plenty of inexpensive options for LPM's on the forum in the $120 area.

However, I got to play with a Nospin this past weekend at SELEM and I have to say, its a sweet LPM.

I´m also selling mine, it´s in mint condition!

It´s with the Li-ion rechargeable compact battery pack, but the cable between the battery pack and the LPM must get replaced.

IIRC Nospin had run out of OHPIR Heads quite a while ago...
DJNY's offer sounds good to me...

I picked up one of these secondhand.

All I can say is it's only leaving me if someone gets it from my cold dead hands:p

@nospin - Is there a way to add data logging to it?
