495nm Aspire One CF Mod Beauty - Now with Galactic Beam Shots

I imagine he took several photos and stacked them all on top of each other. That, or a very long exposure time.

Thank you so much guys, glad you liked them.
It was a last minute opportunity to grab some shots before the weather went north.

Tero, that is Mars in the upper left.
I've attached a labelled pic to show both Mars and Antares.
Antares is sometimes confused with Mars because of it's similarity.
It's a bit hard to tell from the photo because Mars is over exposed but they do look similar to the eye.
The ancient Greeks called it Antares because of this, literally the counterpart of Mars, or anti-Mars.

BTW, Mars will be at it's closest approach in July and will be brighter.
Best time to try and image it.

I've also attached an image of Mars which I took back in 2005.

Great pictures!

How did you get those effects?

Thanks Gazen, as Paul mentioned each photo is a long exposure so what I did was wave the laser around while the camera was exposing which yielded those various effects.

Cheers guys thanks for looking.

I like your astro-photography, Andrew. Even the plain wide angle lens stuff is better than I can see just looking. Thanks for the lesson, too. The best I can see is Venus if the time of the year is right.

Fantastic photos RB---all of them really nice.!

Paul, Red, Encap and Sean, thank you guys.
Glad you enjoyed.
I was very lucky the weather was good that night and I was finishing work late.
Will try and get some more when I can.
I'm very blessed being out, away from the city lights, which allows me to see more up there than from the city.

You are getting very close to 3 million rep points now, Andrew. I don't think I'll be able to push you there myself as not enough time has gone by, but maybe someone will give you the push you need. :D

I was wrong. + Rep. You only need a tiny nudge now.

If you are looking for a diode binned by wavelength, PM ZRaffleticket as I am holding all his for the moment and can press and add drivers to them once my drivers stop bouncing around the burbs and get delivered to me. They got to Seattle last week and something has gone wrong with the address and I have been trying daily to get them delivered.
