Good morning! I am looking into building a 488nm pen style laser using the 488nm diode from DR'S shop, but I want to know what the minimum power I could get with it. I saw the power readings on his page, but ideally I would like to be under 30mW at the most. Is this possible with that diode? And I saw from some searching that the wavelength range can be a bit wide. Should I anticipate a big wavelength difference running it at such a low power?

Thanks yall! Hope everyone is doing well. It is crazy looking through the list of sellers. So many have dropped off in the last 8 years. Looking for a seller with 'GLP' style pen lasers has been a real eye opener for how much the hobby has changed, commercially.

Very Respectfully,
Isaac

I've had them down to around 5mW pretty easily.

I've got some really tiny drivers I use in some of my laser pointer builds. I can pre-assemble a 488nm module for you if you're interested. You can contact me through my website if you want.

I'd love to reach out actually! What is the website?
