Blows my mind the difference in 7 nm in that part of the spectrum. You can go from 632 to 660 and almost not notice unless side by side

Sweet lasers! Would love to add a couple of those to my collection!

I've always noticed that in the blue-green part of the spectrum, just a tiny difference in wavelength is noticeable. I have two "488"s of the same power and I can tell that one is ever so slightly more to the green side. Probably only a few nms at most. The same small difference in the red end of the spectrum I find is almost unnoticeable.

Wherever there’s a crossover band there are greater changes in wavelength perception. Yellow and cyan are very narrow parts of the spectrum.

I own 489 and 494nm and the difference is very noticeable.

I have a 488nm laser I built that measures spot on that wavelength and it is very light blue in color while my 502nm laser looks very green next to it. Unfortunately the 488nm laser you buy could be anywhere from 486nm to 493nm and unless you can measure it you won't know where it falls.
