470nm 4W Laser Build

A member on this forum wanted me to build him a custom 5W 470nm hotrod in a tiny 10cm long host using AA, 14500 sized batteries.
I was so proud of myself for successfully building a 7A boost driver. Yes, 7 AMPS from the battery to provide 5A at the diode. In a 15mm driver!!

Anyways..
I loved his pointer so much I build myself one too, although mine being a little underpowered to increase diode life.

This was built using a "Police Security Trac Tact" flashlight host I found at a flea market.

This one uses 2x 14500 3.7v batteries.
