Alright, before you all explode on the thought of RS carrying a 445, rest
assured they don't
Back in January i posted a thread on how i converted one of their green
lasers into a red, using one of those tricky 3.6mm diodes, now i have
converted another one of these into a 445.
The laser uses a Microboost set at about 550mA, about the lowest the driver
will put out when set to its highest range. Heatsinking here is a bare minimum,
but its more of a "i just want to build something" project rather than a
hardcore heavy use laser.
I have included a couple pics of it next to the red which is still working
RadioShack lasers never looked so good
