445nm lab idea

I have one of these on the way that is doa ...

3 PACK 532nm 15mw TTL power adj. laser with DC power - eBay (item 380239719624 end time Jun-10-10 21:26:24 PDT)

could I replace the DPSS green with a 445 nm diode and drive it with the existing AixiZ driver/(assuming that is is working)

has anyone ever opened up one of these-- is the DPSS green in a aixiz module or pressed directly into the heatsink-- should I add a TEC? I have one from a USB soda can cooler(6$ on eekbay). thanks for any help------hak

Probably not, the green driver will be a IR diode driver that is usually 2.2V. The blue diode needs more than that. Unless it can compensate and add more voltage, I would say no.
