Focal Price - 50mW Green Laser Pointer - LP115B - $14.76

Focal Price - 50mW Green Laser Pointer - LP115B - $14.76 USD Delivered

50mW 532nm Green Laser Pointer (Black) $14.76 - Free Shipping

Comes in a plain white box that was crumpled.
On off switch is on the side, works but doesn't feel very nice to use. The switch transfers pressure onto a tiny little switch located on the laser module PCB.
Uses 2x AA batteries, not included
Non focussable laser, with no IR filter
The strength was very weak and dissapointing when compared to my LEDShoppe laser (approximately 1/4 the brightness)

Focal Price 50mW LP114B Laser Pointer - $14.79 USD Delivered

50mW 532nm Green Laser Pointer (Black) $14.79 - Free Shipping

Comes in plain white box, no retail packaging
Button style on / off toggle at end of pointer
Uses 1 x 18650 battery (not supplied)
Beam similar brightness to LEDShoppe pen, but slightly bigger spot and slightly less bright
Feels a lot more solid than the focalprice laser listed above.
A lot of metal in contact with the laser module, so presumably a very good heatsink

What? Are you serious?

EDIT: Ohhh, you've added stuff, sorry. I thought it was a spam thread.

i bought about 20 of these focal price units not bad all over spec but the beam was fat or large 2mm+ couldn't really burn with them at all

although that 115b unit looksto be a pretty good host

115B - The switch is a bit crappy so not such a good host. Also the laser module you use has to have a switch built in.

I think 114B is better.

Cool reviews, I was thinking of doing something similar but decided to just go big.

Don't you HATE the squeaking of the pen laser when you screw it in place

ok but i use the type that has the swich built in on my pen unit builds
and this will take two 14500 and a rkcstr driver so perfect for me and a 6x build yessssssss

rckstr drivers are for diy kits i guess. And a 6x means a diode from a 6x blu ray burner. It can give 170mW+ of burning power. Cool stuff

The little bit of clear plastic/glass on the end of the module with the end cap removed has lots of cracks in it.

What does this bit of plastic do? Should i pull it out?

What the Hell IS that stuff? It looks like maybe epoxy to secure the module or perhaps some really REALLY low-buck method of waterproofing... Hopefully it's not there to secure the final lens in place - if it isn't, I'd get it off there carefully, anything that obstructs the beam is generally bad,,,
