30mW greenies for $20 shipped

im not too worried about frying it just cause it was only 20 bucks but so far its lasting pretty good. having tons more fun with it. haha. soon ill have my blue-ray burner to mess with :)
 





Anyone checked how these are on IR? I ordered a 20mw, just curious if anybody had tested them yet.

You probably don't need to worry about IR at that level of power (assuming the laser isn't overpowered). Although, I'd also be interested in hearing some confirmed numbers.
 
I just ordered two 50mW greenies, and I will test them when I get them for their real output.

Got my two 50mw lasers today.

Packaging is pretty generic but the actual lasers are definatly worth the price. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

If you have nimh cells USE THEM! Big difference in beam brightness (just be careful, I don't know how much IR these things are leaking)

Which of those hosts would you say is best?
 
I just ordered a 50mw greenie, i don't have an LPM, so i won't be able to tell if its grossly overpowered like the 5mw ones are.

Any idea on shipping time?
 
Hey guys, I got 2 shipments for a total of 5 lasers form LED Shoppe, first 2X 50 mW they were good, a few mW's over spec, then I ordered 2 X 30 mW and another 50 mW,  these were at spec, except, on some batts, one of the 30 mW's is O.K. (about 30 mW), but on some batts, its 12 to 22 mW, it needs strong batts, even rechargeable 1.2 V worked well on the one 30 mW.  All in all I'm pretty happy with these.  I'll probably be getting more.  -Glenn

Update, I ordered 2 more 50 mW units a few days ago, think they will be here in next week.  They are a bargain and the discount code still worked!   ;)

UPDATE! 2-19-09 I got 3 shipments of 50 mW's for a total of 6- 6- mW's from LED Shoppe the last 2 were the bestQ a 53 and a 85 mW! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

I had the same results, nimh cells worked best in my 50mw pointers from the LedShoppe.

Ordered a 50mW, thanks for the link!

I'll do a review on what I can in this thread, but since I can't easily measure watts, etc, I don't think it will be that great of one ;).
 
Just a note, but if you have some friends to go in with you can get your pointers MUCH faster (orders over $100US get priority shipping) - I ordered 6pcs of the 50Mw last Thursday and they were delivered yesterday (Wisconsin, USA), also rush and/or priority shipments are much less likely to be questioned at the border (I have ordered direct from Shinp as a distributor and as long as I do the expedited shipping, I have never had any troubles)...
