30mW Green Laser with a Single AAA Battery

Does that little 30mW keychain have an IR filter by any chance? :tinfoil: Quite unlikely I know.

RAYFOSS has a similar model for a few more dollars. I have one & it works great as soon as you press the button. Nice round dot & no warm up to get to 30+mW's---------rob

No, it does not have an IR filter...

I'ts just like most cheap green modules. If you put an IR filter in the beam path, you would loose about 10% power...

I just got mine a few minutes ago, works great! Perfectly round dot and no warm up
needed, it is a lot brighter than you would think given its size, the dot is almost too
bright to look at on a white wall :D

Thanks for showing us this laser, i really am enjoying this tiny thing! ;)

I've the 30mW O-like and the 20mW Deal Extreme (10 of it sell it on Goa party's:D)both...
I like the DX more because the kaleidoscopic tip is screwed and O-like not and so is no thight fit.....
I also did pot mod the DX 20mW :D

I bought one of those from RAYFOSS, rated @ 30mW's but putting out 50 + mW's. IDK about 100mW's though. Could be ???? rob

I got a 2 X AAA cell greenie with 6 diff. caps rated @ 30mW's from LASERLANDS, (THANK YOU MERRY), but I put it on my LASERBEE I & was surprised, (actually SHOCKED) to find out that it was really pushing over 100mW's, but that was a 2 X AAA cell greenie. IDK if a single AAA cell would give enough juice for 100mW's. Maybe it's a LITHIUM 3.6 Volt cell. Anyone know if it's an ALKILINE or a LITHIUM cell ?? rob

You guys are Fast! :san:
Found pandawill.com thanks to TeLight's thread about a different laser btw.

They claim "Powered by 1 AAA 1.5V battery (included)" A Lithium 1.5V AAA perhaps? Could they take this level of high drain? Besides whether a single AAA could power it or not, 100mW just seems like alot for such a tiny thing.

I have to say you create some sweet builds Jayjob. Simply love your Key Chain 10280. I'm partial to tiny builds. :p

Thanks! :) Have you seen my new 12X phaser?

It's a boost driver...

A single AAA Energizer e2 lithium primary will do it. I would think that it would draw maybe 600mA's or so if boosting.... maybe a little more, but I think a lithium primary will handle it...

@ HALO BLU, I don't think anyone makes a Primary Lithium 1.5 Volt AAA Battery. That type is always a 3.6 Volt as far as I know. AAA 1.5 Volt primaries are usually Alkaline Batteries, but I could be wrong. Please correct me if anyone knows different. rob

Everyready makes a couple types of primary AAA lithiums 1.5V (but usually 1.6V with no load on them).
Your thinking rechargeable lithium cells which are 3.6V.
Primary cells / batteries are disposable ones that cannot be recharged.

Yep I certainly caught your 12x phaser. Everything is flawless & the armed light really lets you know you have a powerful monster. I may be fond of small builds but that is a sweet one for sure... oh you added a new video! :D

Saw that huh?!

I wanted to show the beam, and some flash paper...

Of course more balloons too! :)

@ bootleg2go, Thanks for correcting me about that, Jack. I don't like to give out erroneous information to ANYBODY. rob
