... WOW.
... WOW.

It is real and the technology exists. I have had past PERSONAL experience with computer control via neural feedback.
--side story to explain: I have ADD and aspergers. When I was about 8 (I think) I saw for some time a particular specialist and one of the activities I did was to be hooked up (with electrodes on my head) to a computer and navigate a 2D map with a little dot.
Not quite the level of control that you'd need however I can tell you with practice it gets easier.

This is amazing stuff. I'm so getting one.

That is prety sweet but it whould only have rudementary controls that whould be extrmely inaccurate.

did you miss the bit where i mentioned that...

It gets loads easier. At first its hard as hell, then you keep practicing and its almost second nature.

Hell, it becomes first nature :D I imagine it would be like the first time you put your hand on a mouse...
Is ADD still considered a disease? :-? Did they give you ritalin? :P

Switch. In order, yes. yes it is, no, and hell no, I take fish oil capsules every morning, same effect but no side effects.

So what is the real application of this device, and what should we expect?

Sharks that can switch the friggin lasers tied to their heads on and off by just thinking about it? ::)

XD

Well reaction times is the main target. You cut out the vast amount of time it takes after realising you need to turn around, to actually make your fingers hit the WASD and turn around.
They're touting reaction time improvements of about 200%.

It's pretty revolutionary. I imagine it would work wonders for pilots but as for high G-force environments, somehow I doubt it'll be too easy to implement.

Yes, and uh...

I WANT ONE OMGOMGOMGOMG

Well BlueFusion I understand the ADD thing completely I was diagnosed with that and a minor case of autism when i was about 8. and I done the same thing you did with this equipment tried 4 hours to talk the doctor out of the hardware

i just have to try it to believe it, not that i dont believe this works, i wish i could get one..

Instead of having a USB connector at the end would we able to mod it so it connects to an FM transmitter with a HUGE Antenna...MIND CONTROLLLLLL...Although im not sure if Radio Waves can control the mind...would be good for hijacking your local radio station however =]

Yes certain frequencies of sound and radio waves can actually change your mood and control your mind to some extent .

And it would not be good for pilots, what if they got distracted by the hot blonde in the plane behind ?  ;D

Diachi

EDIT : Magnetic, electro magnetic and electric fields can also effect your brain, then again I guess thats what radio waves are ;D
