200mW for 54$? with HQ focus?

I order on the 26th may still say's pending package, i press the refund button at the bottom of the order does not work so now i going to have to email them.
I hope you get your moneys back.
They stating 200mw on there site , could of lived with it, if it was 100mw upwards but not even that no.

Come to think of it before i cancel this i'm going to email them and let them no that people who have brought this on this forum are not to happy with this model telling them it has been tested and compared with other laser's and is way under spec to wat your displaying on your website.
Then they might send me a good one lol.
Doubt if they even test them.
No can't be botherd sending email now for refund.

Mine has now died... after less than 10 minutes total use its now a very dim IR laser :(

My order arrived today. It may not be to spec, I don't have a LPM to check it BUT it is much more powerful then my $40 eBay 532nm (advertised as 200mw) ledlight. The beam is intense and the spot is so bright you can't look at it without goggles.

I may get a LPM in 2-3 weeks and will report back with readings.

Ways I am pretty sure your laser is not dead. Mine was behaving the same way when I first received it. I thought it was DOA. Try using a mulitude of diferent batteries and battery sizes. Out of 6 batteries I only have 2 that make the laser turn on. There is hope my friend. I do not believe your laser to be dead.

Yobresal thanks for giving me a ray of hope :)

I tried a couple more 18650's (cheap unbranded & unprotected ones) and a couple of my protected AW 's (tight fit!) and its still a dim IR laser :( it was a long shot as it worked for its +-10min life with the battery that came with my dilda in it but thanks for giving me hope :D

Well, I purchased my "200mW" laser on MAY 21st & it just arrived today JUNE 5th, which means it took 15 days for it to get to my house in INDIANA. That's about how long it USUALLY takes stuff from DX or KD to get to my house, so that's not TOO BAD. Now, what you're all probably waiting for:drool: my LPM test. Well, I didn't have any of the BIG single batteries to use, so I had to use 2 partially charged RCR123's  but there were NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to insert the batteries, so I put them in like you would for any ordinary GREEN LASER. Well, have I kept ya danglin' about my lasers out-put long enough :drool: :tsk: I know shame on me :tsk: So, here they are, with only PARTIALLY CHARGED BATTERIES (3.15 or less) I got a PEAK OUT-PUT of 110mW's which slowly dropped down to a STEADY 99mW's, so according to the results that I've been reading about other members lasers, I guess mine isn't doin' too bad. I MUST be BLESSED. I hope it doesn't drop dead on me in 10 mins. like the last posters did. GOOD LUCK to all the members who have ordered, but not yet received their lasers yet............... rob

I thought you weren't supposed to use two charged rcr123a... only a single rcr123a or an 18650... I guess if it's brighter though with the rcr123a's, maybe I'll use that if or when i get mine (my order doesn't show up on my account, but I paid them... email is coming soon)

Looks like phoenix77 got a nice one :) , for those that have received their's does it have "TopLaser301" printed on it?.

Mine has "Nature Optics 520" on it, didnt think much about that at first as i figured it was a case of same product different label, i could be clutching at straws here but maybe just maybe they sent me the wrong product.

Either way, i emailed KD and am hoping their customer service is as good as their marketing department ;)

I think they provide an extension tube so you can put a few different sizes in.

Mine also says Top Laser 301 on the laser body.

Interesting. How different from the Toplaser 302?
From what I can see, the 302 has the same exact specs as the 301. I was going to get this one:

From focalprice;

But, not for a few weeks.

Yeah, i know that but... phoenix posted above that he used two partially charged rcr123a's in his... and he got a high power output of close to 100mW.

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THAT LASER!

What you see as a very dim IR beam could be in fact tens or hundreds if not even thousands of mw's! (maybe crystal glue loosened etc.)

You may very well know the dangers of IR lasers, but just in case I thought I'd post. The 808nm pump diode (IR), is very dim to our eyes but is immensely powerful, a couple of thousand times dimmer at the same power as a green.

The main problem is that our eyes do not react to it (no blink reflex) and it will do damage without you even realizing! Be careful with that thing. Also 532nm goggles are for the most part useless in blocking this wavelength (unless you bought broadband from frothy)

Thanks
brtaman

So just be careful with that thing.
