I'm happy to share the newest member to the laser family. A week ago I talked to DTR about the Osram PLP520-B1, though of course you know where the 200mw will be coming from, and I got my hands on Osram's newest laser diode. Here what it boils down to:
This diode is driven at 550mA so it's guaranteed that I will be getting at least 200mw, maybe 250mw, I really don't know since I lack a lpm. But anyways, the laser itself outputs a very strong beam, brighter than a 1w 445nm! This laser deserves my best polished c6 host, and take a look at these pictures:

Beam Profiles
PLP on left, PL on right, huge difference!

Awesome looking laser dude. Great job on the build and that polished c6 host is just too cool.
How do you get such fine polish on those host???

Nice. I had a single mode 520 in an sh032 host a while ago, and I loved it. Chrome finish+520 is really an awesome combo. Nice build :)

I just use a cheap buffing machine I got for like $40 and polishing compound for like $7 and 40 minutes of work and touching up gives me Yoda's lightsabre

Nice build :)

I just finished building one for a customer yesterday.

Did about 209mW if I remember right

The polishing job on the C6 is looking great +1 :gj:

I'm currently building a setup with the same driver/diode combination. I'm curious, how has it held up to the 550 mA? Asking because I'd like to run 550 myself, but DTR recommended 400mA for the diode to last.
