Howdy all well I got my NOS 12volt 84 amp power supply in the mail today and it came through with no problems, packed up just fine
So after taking a good look at it I determined it could be run on 120 volts input so I made a couple jumpers and replaced the old single jumper for 230 volt service.
I plugged it in and the fan began to blow a good strong wind across the heat sink.
I hooked up a volt meter and got a steady 12.09 volts out.
in order to run it on 120 volts the 230 volt jumper had to be removed and two jumpers placed in it's place.
See there no more 230 VAC sticker and look at them studs, how could it not put out 80 amps
Current testing will have to wait for another day.
I would consider from what I have seen so far that this is well worth $200.00 to any one who needs a good industrial duty power supply.
more testing to follow
