Thanks for having a look Rog,
Quote, "As per PM, there is not enough input voltage to run the regulator for the Rkcstr or the LM317 motor drive."
Does the LOC require similar power to a PHR BR then, (ignorance showing )? The protoype I built with a RCKSTR driver, running a SenKat diode, and using a similar battery is a great little stable burner with a long time between charges.
Quote, "If you just connect 7.2 volts to that you would suddenly get a much better laser output. (assuming you set the rkcstr up correctly in the first place)."
So I can just double up on batteries? :-/ I had hoped to avoid that. I checked the RCKSTR before installation, (I now have a test-load! ). It was a preassembled one and has worked fine with other LDs. (Blew the socks off a couple of the IR/reds from the PHR sled but that was my mistake!)
Tinker time over the weekend then.
I'll post any observations.
Thanks again,
M
