I just received a 2.4W 445nm laser today from Gismo, and using the recommended batteries, the laser won't do anything. Both of the batteries are fully charged, but still nothing happens. The laser hasn't turned on once, and I'm lost now. Any suggestions?

Hey Coga, sorry to hear your laser isn't working.

One thing which may sound simple but can kill a laser is the way batteries are inserted. Which way did you insert them? Some lasers have reverse polarity protection so this may not even be the cause but it's good to rule this one out!

I put them in positive towards the laser, because the spring is on the tailcap.

Alright, that sounds like the right way to put them in. I don't know gismo's lasers first hand so another member who has will be able to confirm if this is indeed the correct way.

Have you tried contacting gismo in the mean time?

Yeah, but he is time is in Ireland, so its the middle of the night. This was originally built by Blord I believe though.

No, he removed the post about the laser after i purchased it. This is the link to the original for sale post from Blord: Here

Your batteries in the photos look like flat tops, that's probably the problem, change to button tops and it should work.

I had the same problem with one of my lasers, my batteries were flat tops and the metal tops of one not actually making contact with the second battery.
