1w 520nm gold plated housing that you can run 2 18650s or 2 18350s. The housing isn't perfect because I took it everywhere, but the laser works perfectly and is extremely bright. It has never been on more that 10 seconds at a time. $500 in hopes of a quick sale, the diode alone was $560. I will ship immediately, thank you for your time.

damn that's a beauty right there! Where did you acquire this laser and/or did you build it yourself? What's it's history and what's inside? Is that a convex mirror in the dog kennel 1st pic??

If it's as quality as it seems you should have no problem passing this along, sounds like a great offer!

Why would there be an IR filter on a direct diode green?

But yes, specs are critical and lacking.

Hmm, good point lol.

Sorry force of habit to think Green = IR :na:

As you said, specs would be nice :)

There is no mirror in my backyard I'm not sure what you mean. Unfortunately I do not Know it's run time, I keep it on for a short amount of time because it was so expensive and it's so amazing I don't want to chance ruining it. This is what I know for sure, glass lense, 1.8a driver, same diode dtr sells I don't know where he purchased it from tho or what module, he took care of that part for me . It cost me nearly $700 all in all. It was assembled by an engineer at my job, he builds all kind of similar devices for us and for a hobby. It was built in July. Sorry it took me so long to respond work has been busy tonight.

Yea its the same host... But there you go I'm selling mine for cheaper and it cost more to build it yourself.

Golden Sun Powerful 2W blue laser 450nm laser torch/focusable [OL-2WBT] - $179.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

This is where the host came from. It wasnt offered in 520nm when mine was built. He put his blue one in a differnet host.

Or maybe the engineer fibbed a bit about building yours himself ;)

In any event, the build IS available now from O-Like, and for $610 new, your price of $500 is probably pretty fair (depending on actual specs).

However, it's fairly crucial for people to know what it actually LPMs at. It could LPM at 800mW or 1500mW. Subjective assessment of brightness is pretty useless and incapable of distinguishing with any sort of reliability between the two. There's a big difference in value.

If you bought an LPM for $100 and proved the laser was 1w for sure, you could probably sell if for $50-$100 more to make it up for the LPM and people would know for sure your laser is awesome :p

And then you would have an LPM to use in the future!

Or you could try to have it LPMed by a forum member close by.

Brilliant point. Arguably a proven 1W used would be worth as much as an advertised 1W new from olike.

Of course, the flip side, is that you might prove your laser to be under spec. But that's not really a negative in the sense of the greater good. Just a negative for you personally.

However, it's also a positive for you to know ahead of time if that's the case, because chances are your buyer will LPM it, and you don't want them trying to exercise recourse against you after the fact if the diode underperforms.

Hah you guys are something else. I watched him build it. I have built other cheaper lasers myself but I wasn't comfortable building this one being so expensive. He has more knowledge, a proper setting and equipment to do it right. This isn't a homemade rigged up toy or a Chinese piece of crap. We like this housing a lot so he bought 2 of the blue models, like I said 520nm wasn't availible in this host yet, he kept the diodes and drivers to put in something else and built us each a 520nm. He makes professional equipment for automated robotic welding and all kinds of things to go along with it. We have lasers that cut our metal parts, lasers to sense locations and find seams. If you want a comparison of the 200mw 520nm I could do that to prove it's not a fake or something but the picture I posted proves that. I can stand in my backyard with a sign holding my laser to make sure I'm a real person too if you want but come on give me a break. I don't have time to sit here and debate this laser, if you not interested don't buy it. I don't mean any of this to start a fight but come on...

Was just offering some advice :yh:

I personally don't need a 1w green laser at the moment but many here would probably like one.
And I believe you that this laser is real and you probably paid good money to build it.

But it would sell a lot faster if people here had Proof that it was 1w or more (with a picture of it being LPMed).

Lets just say that few members like to throw their money at someone with a lower post count and with no real proof of the laser's quality and power.

You could in fact take a picture of a lower power green laser next to the one you are trying to sell, but then again, people have no proof of the other laser's power either.

And RHD has a point, if the diode underperforms (which can happen) then the person buying the laser will probably find out sooner or later. But then again that also might make it harder to sell the laser. (like if it just so happens to be underpowered after testing and posting results.)

Although buying an LPM and then testing the laser would probably be time consuming, its one more thing that can help prove your sales worthy.

Edit: I don't mean to start an argument, but most of us LOVE to get as many details as we can on the product before spending hard earned dollars.

Not to be a jerk but I didn't ask for anyone's advice nor did anyone that was interested in buying it because you guys didn't even give anyone a chance. Maybe if someone interested it would of been ok to add your two cents. This isn't a debate thread, I really need the money at the moment and I'm selling something I enjoy to get it. I don't harass other people selling their stuff but I do comment about my opinion on something in a thread asking for it. Im not worried about my reputation because it's well built and a great laser no one can tell the difference between 100mw anyway so your stupid meters I can give a crap less about. You can compare the driver and diodes outputs from other people's testing, I'm not here to split hairs. You turn this thing on and peoples jaws drop and it never gets old.
