This machine I like a mess, I saw it in so many films, even in the movie with Nicolas Cage "Drive Angry"
Who knows how much it costs and if it is still on sale .... also used!

Expect to pay around $50,000 for 69 Camaro SS if it's in a #1 condition and is a Big Block car.

That isn't the car in the movie, however.
The car in the movie was a 1968 Camero SS in KK Tripoli Turquoise with white stripes and rectangular driving lights in the grill---not a 1969, not black stripes.

I agree, the Z/28 RS with the hidden headlights would be more desirable, ....and more expensive. :)

If you really want to go all out, try and find one of the COPO's with the ZL-1 427ci engine, it looks like only 69 were made.

Wonder how many COPO's left?? Was the L89 427 the one with the Aluminum heads? or even better the all Aluminum 427:cool:
These COPO's were so hard core bare and light, I don't think they came down the line as SS models, before was it the Yenko dealer? that modded them?

According to Wikipedia, those ZL-1's were an all aluminum engine; with a price tag of $4000. for just the engine, that's a lot of 1969 dollars!

I think you're right, Yenko started swapping in the 427's at his dealership first.

Yes the one with the hidden headlights and the COPO would be fantastic .... also semi-new or used safely at a Chevrolet dealership
We will pay it in common with my brothers and sisters and parents ...!
The color I'd like to have would be "shiny pearl black and fiery red stripes" ...
Then if it were new ... it would be the maximum but at what price then?
$ 100,000 ?
