18350 batteries, what hosts do they fit?

I read some thread several weeks ago where someone said they were using 18350's in a C6 host. This stuck in my mind so a couple of weeks ago I ordered a pair, I have since read two other threads where people say they use them in place of 16340's. These are the 18350's I have:

Now notice the difference in length compared to the 16340's:

I also wasn't sure if they would fit my charger that is made for 16340's only so I got one of these:

I needed a new charger anyway because my next laser will be using two 18650's.

The 18350's don't fit in my C6, I can't even screw the tailcap on partway, but they do fit the 16340 charger. Does anyone use these in a C6? I am thinking maybe they have to be unprotected 18350's to use in place of a 16340 because they would be slightly shorter. I might make a spacer to use them in place of two 18650's, otherwise am not sure what I'll do with them.

Are there any commonly used hosts that take these? Can some of you list what host you use these in? Thanks.

They fit a cree Q5 torch host as that's what my 2.25 w blue is in at the moment.also the SD 301,302,303 series of lasers but only if not protected they fit but its very tight otherwise.

As far as I know, the orange ultrafire 18350 fits the C6.

Technically they should fit all lasers that take an 18650 OR two 16340s if the end cap has a good size spring to make up the difference in length.like a Kryton groove it has a really long spring that can be compressed further. Obviously the laser driver has to be capable of taking two batteries first. The real issue is protected or not as you pointed out are a bit longer again. Not all lasers have an end spring either .Most have it in the middle ..anyway you need a laser with long spring is short answer.

Hi all,

New here, so still learning. Apologies of this has been covered many times before, but I'm struggling with finding the right search terms to use to get the information I'm looking for!

Is there any preference on these batteries over the 16340 batteries? I'm hopefully buying a laser that can take 2 16340's or 2 18350 batteries, but on searching for the best ones to get I can't see any difference between the two,(ignoring the obvious difference in size) except that on eBay, the 18350's don't seem available over 1200mah - whereas the 16340's I can get in 2200mah quite easily.

Logic says to go for the 16340's - but my logic is that of a newbie, so wanted to check before making the purchase :)

Any help is greatly appreciated - and again, opologies if this has been done to death!

Those values are far from the real capacity. 16340 are usually around 600mah and 18350 are usually around 800. You can get a little more runtime from the extra acpacity
