16340 = cr123a ? update: I bought 2x AW RCR123a 750 mAh

Re: 16340 = cr123a ?

The 'original' ones will not live up to the 880 mAh claim either though. I consider anything that delivers a true 750 mAh (at 1C) in a 16340 for factor an excellent cell. The energy content of such batteries is probably comparable to a good quality primary 123 cell as well.

So you are saying that the UltraFire batteries are no good?
All of the ones that I have have been really good, haven't had any problems with them what so ever.

Re: 16340 = cr123a ?

The host that the topic starter is mentioning should accept two 18350 batteries. The red laser in the same host is only powered by one 18650 battery.
The batteries has been tested by some DX members and the real capacity is between 800-900mAh. A little better than a good 16340 battery.

Well, define 'problem', i suppose. If a cell is sold as having 800 mAh capacity, but in reality only has 600 mAh, would you notice that? I'm sure you could tell if you actually timed how long it lasted, but if don't, you'll probably just recharge it when its empty and be fine with it.

With things like laser pointers that you use intermittently, you may not notice a fairly large difference in capacity because you don't keep good track on how long the laser has been operating.

True, but try running a 2W laser with dual flexdrives on a Trustfire 18650 battery and you probably ain't gonna get 2 W.

Or, LPM any high powered laser with a Trustfire, then an AW and you WILL see a difference.
