Honestly I would just list it on ebay. It's under 5mw so it complies with the rules, and it would probably get bid up to $200+

Agreed Paul, I can't go any lower then that. I'm listing it so long due to it's drop in power to only about 2mW's. Might be some aligning to do inside or something. :)

I feel for you, buddy. I guess that goes with getting a tiny pen build DPSSL. I really do prefer them in lab units. I have some 532nm, but those were cheap and who cares if they bite it.

Yeah Paul, agreed. These more complex DPSS units really are like rolling a slot machine and hoping. Sometimes you win, other times, no :(

Hello folks,

I'm sure many of you will get upset with my decision to sell my 515 & 594, but unfortunately I've decided I have more important priorities. I need a new laptop for schooling, and honestly, I really need to start spending more money on things other then lasers for awhile. I need to get caught up on car fixing(which I've been putting off by buying lasers), possible future family trips along with similar things.

I've listed the Rigel for $287 which is a fair price for a really stable, well-performing unit. My other laser, a 515 eBay pointer is listed at $22.15. Nice color!

If some people get upset since I'll be losing money, which may be like the 5th or 6th time, I'm sorry. I really don't think I can keep those lasers around and stress out over things in my life that must take priority. I hope everyone can understand. If things don't get attended to it's going to make my brain go into more chaos, and cost me much more down the road to fix.

Edit: I'm just getting sick and tired of waking up and having a pile of stuff I need to take care of, but always say: "that can wait another day". Life before fun!

Unfortunately you tend to lose your shirt trying to resell exotic lasers. I remember my ordeal with that 671nm red DPSS labby. Overspec and perfect condition, and I was barely able to sell it for like 40% of the purchase price after relisting it about 10x on ebay.

Exactly. Buying, especially at the consumer/retail level, is always a breeze compared to selling--usually the case even with the most desirable items---always the case with used electrical/electric items.
Even in business having something to sell is only 10% of of what it takes to have a successful business.

No worries Alex. Nothing to be sorry about.
Naturally causes questions when people think you may be sabotaging yourself unnecessarily, repeatedly.

Do what is good/beneficial for you and your life. Life first before entertainment for sure.
Good luck getting everything sorted out, more balanced and under control--good decision.
Is how people learn --next time you can approach things differently so the situation does not occur in the same way again.
