12X S06J 405nm Diodes $54 Shipped US

I'm interested in a 405nm inside module + 405-G-2 Glas lens.

Just few questions

1) What power do you think will come out when you provide aprox 450mA to it?

2) Can these be focussed to have a very !VERY! small burning point at aproximately 3 or 4 foot distance? (I certainly cannot with my 445nm laser, but maybe this one can?)

3) I currently use a 445nm laser with a driver which I can set ON and OFF with ttl signal. Do you carry such a driver too? Or know where I could get such a driver ?

Kind regards,
Bart

^^^ @ 450mA you should be around 600-700mW. Check this thread for more details and a couple of power graphs.

As a single mode diode these will focus to a very tight area and burn even at distance unlike the 445's. The 445 does a better job for visual brightness. While the 405's are a very neat color but not nearly as visually bright but they are amazing burners.;)

You could try the P3 Flexmod. Flaminpyro has been stocking them here. http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/sale-flexmod-p3-drivers-63932.html

DTR, I want to buy your blue diode in module with glass lens and wires and then Mohrenbergs just add diode kit (Aurora C6), what mA is the best for that diode? His offering 1.8, 1.62 and one lower I forgot about. Thank you.

For this diode I suggest sticking to 500mA or under. 420mA will give great life and power.;)

The 445's can use those higher output drivers.

What amount of mW do you expect aproximatly from a 405nm diode with G2 lens @ 420mA ?

Wait, so is Mohrenberg lieing? He says in the thread that you can use Daguins/DTR's diodes in his host, but the lowest driver he has is 1.2A, if you're saying it should be under 500mA, doesn't it mean that the diode would blow or something?

Yep look at the 445's for the 1.25A driver. I also offer the Flexdrives which are capable of running the 405's.;)

I purchased the 445nm M140 Diode In Module With Leads
& 405-G-2 Glass Lens from you
to use with Moh's c6 add a diode 1.62A ... and now I just purchased another Moh's add a diode 1.25... which diode can I run safely... I would like use a 12X S06J Bluray Diode In Module W/Leads & Three Element Glass Lens, but from what I'm reading this will be to much current? Should I stay with a 445nm M140 Diode. If so do you have the 445nm M140 Diode with a 3 element glass lens? As I would like to have a little different beam between the two. Any input will be greatly appreciated...

Yes the 1.25A driver is too much current for the S06J. Stick with the 445 with that driver. I would suggest a Flexdrive set to no more than 500mA with the S06J.

I do have plenty of M140's and three element lenses. The three element will give you a tighter beam than the G-2 at the expense of power. You can grab them both on my web store.

would this be the one ...Combo Special
445nm M140 Diode In Module With Leads
& Aixiz Glass Lens
$63 It doesn't say three element ?
