I have 12X S06J diodes in stock ready to ship. I though I would pick some up as they seem hard to come by from US sellers these days.

They are $54 shipped for the bare diode or $65 in a module with leads.

Re: 12X S06J Diodes $54 Shipped US

Hi , i am thinking about ordering a 12X S06J in module from your shop ,
does it come with the plastic or glass lens?
the 12X S06J is a 600-700mW 405nm right?
my last order arrived , but i was thinking ordering with cheaper shipping rates (international) , did you ever had any problem with the 6 dollars first class international not tracked shipping (to France)?

thanks DTR !

The Aixiz module does come with an Acrylic lens. I also offer three element glass lenses for blue for $8 and 405-G-2's for $45.

@ 400mA you will get about 600mW-700mW with the G-2. No problems with first class other than it can be erratic on delivery time but they always show up. Average time is 15 days. Can be as short as 7 and as long as 30 in rare cases and of course you have no idea where it is as there is no tracking.

great , i ll take a 12X S06J in module , as for the lens i ll take a simple glass because i already received a G-2 from last order (with a 445nm) , so i ll be able to compare cutting abilities with both wave length and lenses ,

as for the driver flex do you think it can handle being turned on and of by a relay ?
i still have to decide if i am taking the driver or not ,

i guess i ll order around monday

thank you DTR

No problem. Here is the data sheet on the driver.

Hi DTR , i wanted to start and experiment with my 445nm 1W laser before buying a 12X S06J
for this i need to find the specs of the A140 (to know what intensity i need to set my driver at ,for a 1w output) , do you have these specs , or know where i can find them ?

thank you.

1.2A with a three element glass lens or 1A with a G-1/G-2 will get you around where you want to be but the 445 diodes do vary in efficient so it is not an exact science.

Re: 12X S06J Diodes $54 Shipped US

hi thank for your answer , but then i really don t get it , because my driver is a flexmod and its specs says that it will adapt its voltage to the needs of the load , but then what is the voltage specs of a A140 because if it drives 5V then 1A would set it to 5W

what am i not getting here ?

sorry if it seems basics , but it is my first laser , i am a bit scare to break the diode .
thank you DTR

Yep you need to look up how to set the driver on a test load or with the P3 I believe you can test the current on the output side via a multimeter as well. You don't need to worry about voltage to the diode. The only voltage you need to worry about is that your power source can supply more than 6V to the driver.

Did you try a search for how to set the current on the P3?

Re: 12X S06J Diodes $54 Shipped US

Hi DTR,
Has anyone plotted a graph on this diode. I'm asking because you seem to suggest 400mA so i figure you have reason to stop there.
I run my only one (pen host-no heat sink-linear driver- short duty cycles) at 500mA for over 6 months now, and it is still peaking at 850-860mW with freshly charged batteries.

I will order one or two this week though.I hope my first one wasn't some freak diode. cause I want to push it a bit further.

please let me know latest finds, if there are any :-)

best regards

Miloš

thanks. I think i will be going a bit higher than 500, but not over 650mW. Will place an order soon, as well as 635nm diode if you have any left.

cheers !
